Meet the founders of Circus Suburbia:

KATIE started out as a member of the local artistic gymnastics squad and drama club, then joined the Circus Space childrens' classes where she met Leyla Rees. Together the pair formed the aerial duo, Starfiz, beginning their performing careers at the Glastonbury Festival circus big top at the age of fourteen.
Whilst studying English at university in Falmouth, Katie taught and performed with Swamp Circus and Circo Kernow, represented Circo Kernow Youth Circus at Circus Arts Forum meetings and was a student representative at the Hall for Cornwall.
Since graduating in 2008 Katie has moved back to Kingston from where she continues to perform solo and duo aerial acts, stilt walking and acrobatics for a wide range of clients.
Katie teaches aerial skills and acrobatics, including trapeze, rope, silks, circeau, acrobalance, tumbling, tight rope and stilt walking.
