Aerialists are high point of entertainment
In 2014, the events team at Wisley invited us to provide aerial entertainment in the Glasshouse venue (also available for events hires) during their first ever arts festival. They had seen our aerial shows in The Bentall Centre and wanted a similar spectacle to wow audiences.
We rigged some bright red silks next to the waterfall in the lush greenhouse, surrounded by green leaves and flowers in bloom. The mix of bright colours in the large, light space was eye catching and exotic, a beautiful juxtaposition between the clean lines of the glasshouse and the exploding plants in summer.
Katie Hardwick & Leyla Rees performed shows of 10 minutes throughout the weekend, in a variety of stylish costumes and to music in the style of Cirque du Soleil.
The audience ranged in age from babies to elderly visitors, yet the grace, beauty and daring of silks performances kept everyone entranced with the skill on display.
Katie returned in 2015 and 2016 to perform on both days of the festival, with a mixture of classic cirque tracks, ratpack show tunes and feel-good summery songs.
We can't wait to bring something a bit difference to Wisley Arts Fest 2017!
