The Yard @ Riverside Walk

Circus Suburbia creates bespoke aerial shows for events in the Riverside Walk pop-up performance space.

The unique "swing arm" structure allows us to perform aerial acrobatics in the heart of Kingston.

Birdies Film Festival

In July 2015 we used the "swing arm" to showcase student and teacher aerial acts at the Birdies Film Festival, which runs alongside the International Youth Arts Festival.

We performed cabarets throughout the day, with silks, trapeze, hula hoop and acrobatics acts to entertain the crowds between film screenings.

Our Youth Circus were joined by teachers Bryony Livesey, Maisie Whitehead and Katie Hardwick.

Spooktacular Halloween
Spider themed event

Halloween 2015 saw us team up with Aniela of Creative Brain Events to deliver an interactive Halloween event for families.

The space was decorated with spider webs, lighting by Dave Starmer and sound installations by Tim Hart. A giant spider made different sounds as its eight legs were touched.

Katie and Maddy became a creepy crawly spider trapeze duo, performing a doubles trapeze act counter weighted by Samuel Lebon, followed by some fun Trick or Treat games from the air. Children were showered in sweets, toys, flour or water!

Our Ghost stilt walkers returned to the Riverside Walk.

Costumes by DesignGuise, rigging by Nik Litton.

"The girls were amazing! So strong and hugely entertaining. My kids were desperate for a picture with them."

"You entertained them in so many different ways!"
